On September 1, 2011, Dr. James Lee, Lee World CEO, and Ambassador Joey Antonio had a one-on-one meeting with the Philippines President Aquino at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse Villa 18. Dr. James Lee and Mr. Antonio presented a signed MOU to the President Aquino regarding a railway construction opportunity in Philippines. Lee World and Century Properties will pursue this project together.

The original meeting was scheduled to be 15 minutes, but it went on for 30minutes due to the warm discussions between the two parties. At the meeting, the President spoke highly of Lee World Group and Dr. James Lee for their efforts and contributions to promote Philippines-China economy . President Aquino explained how to use the “Four Rs” to lure investors to invest into Philippines, “Right project, right cost, right quality, and right on time”. Then Dr. James Lee added the “Right people”. The President could not stop agreeing with Dr. James Lee and now has turned his “Four Rs” Policy into the “Five Rs” Policy.

At the end of the meeting, the President shook hands with Chinese entrepreneurs kindly. He invited Dr. James Lee and his group to visit and invest in the Philippines again.
