On September 13, 2011, the Chinese Peoples Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the China Friendship Peace and Development Foundation awarded Dr. James Lee, the " Peace Development Award."

The award is to recognize those individuals who have made special contributions to the world peace and development. Dr. James Lee arranged one million yuan donation to the China Friendship Peace and Development Foundation. The donation is used to produce a 45 minute long documentary “ Touching The Tigers”.

The film will premiere this month on CCTV. Both Chinese and the U.S. political leaders speak highly of the film.
